This group picture shows students after a night of observing held by Zafaraniye Observatory of Tehran. Classes are held for students age 9 to 17, taught in two age groups and two level of experience. Separate classes are held for boys and girls, with the girls' classes usually being larger. Dark sky observing sessions are held an hour's drive from the city, and classes are held at the observatory in northern Tehran where they have a 5-meter dome housing a 6-inch Zeiss Maksutov telescope.
