Imam Square, formally the Shah's polo field, in a view taken from Ali Qapu Palace where the Shah and his royal predecessors would view the festivities in the city's largest square. Sheikh Lutfollah Mosque across the square was not public and therefore has no minarets for calling the faithful to prayer.
