Our eclipse observing location, a communications center on a hill high above the town of Nahavand in the Zagros Mountains of northwestern Iran. We had a great view of the approaching shadow and the town below but no view of the receding shadow. There were hundreds of people on the hill but there was lots of room so it was not crowded at all. A great spot chosen for us by Nojum (Iranian Astronomy) Magazine.
