This photo taken from Camp 1 shows the ice cliff at the edge of the glacier, the beginning of the route to Camp 2. Some of the neve penitente encountered on the glacier (produced from smaller suncups by the Sun's heat) can be seen below the glacier. Camp 2 was at over 19,000 feet in a large crevasse on the glacier.
